Curiosity Peak Observatory became operational in May 2014, realizing a dream of two San Diego area amateur astronomers, Doug Sollosy and Todd Rogelstad to create an "open door to the universe" that would provide a space for our own astro-imaging travels, but also be a place where other astronomers and friends could come and enjoy the breath-taking dark sky views from our hilltop in Julian, California. Since then we have been joined by new partners, Roy Hansen, Fred Delgado, Vivek Vijayakumar, and Ernie Huang, all of whose enthusiastic participation has made Curiosity Peak an even more exciting place to explore the wonders of the night sky. We are grateful to all those who share in our vision of outreach and our love for astronomy, and have stepped forward at various times to help in the construction and ongoing development. Their efforts have helped us make Curiosity Peak an attractive venue for all. We look forward to having many more collaborators and visitors, from near and far, including those who who come up here and see the amazing sight of our own galactic home, the Milky Way, for the very first time. The sky is the limit, and all help and donations are needed and welcome! Let us embark together on many cosmic voyages, and at the same time gain a greater appreciation of our own beautiful planetary home.
